We Exhibit is opening a project-based position for an Architect/Designer ahead of the exhibition setups for Biennale Arte 2026.
The selected candidate will support the Production and Exhibit Design team in the development of cultural exhibition projects, from executive design through production phases and on-site operational direction and supervision during installation, reporting directly to the project manager responsible for the project(s).
General requirements:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in exhibition design and setup
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to manage tasks without supervision
- Flexibility and determination, with a strong aptitude for dialogue and collaboration
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of Italian and English
Specific requirements:
- Advanced skills in 3D modeling software (Rhino, SketchUp or similar) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD 2D)
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (especially InDesign and Illustrator)
- Experience with spreadsheets, email, and Google Drive
- Knowledge of key topics related to exhibition production
- Knowledge of materials
- Familiarity with supplier–client dynamics
- Familiarity with technical conversations with professionals such as architects and engineers
- Experience in on-site coordination
Workplace: We Exhibit headquarters (Venice) and project sites located throughout the historic center of Venice
Type of collaboration: Freelance with VAT number or seasonal contract
Availability: Full-time (5 days per week), on-site
