[it’s a wrap] “Progettare per le Persone: allestimenti accessibili”
Our training course “Progettare per le Persone: Allestimenti Accessibili” (February 14–16, 2025) has come to a close—three days dedicated to exploring accessibility in exhibition design.
An event that brought together professionals, students, and others working in the exhibition sector around a shared goal: rethinking spaces by placing people, their needs, and their interests at the center.
Throughout the course, participants experimented with new tools and design approaches, alternating between lectures and workshops. The sessions featured contributions from M.Chiara Ciaccheri, Nicolas D’Oronzio (We Exhibit), Fabio Fornasari (Museo Tolomeo), Matteo Schubert (Alterstudio Partner) alongside the international perspective shared by Alexandra Verdeil (Tactile Studio).
“Thinking with a renewed sensitivity and setting clear goals for interventions that are as inclusive as possible.”
The survey conducted at the end of the course revealed that, for many participants, the training had changed the way they viewed their work. Most spoke of a new lens through which to interpret exhibition design, of practical tools ready to be applied, and of a more conscious language to bring into future projects.
The most tangible outcome was the shared desire for continuity and further opportunities to explore the topic together.
“It clarified my ideas on how to proceed with my curatorial project.”
The course may have ended, but the work continues in the contexts where each participant operates.
The themes that emerged will guide the next modules, designed to build on what has been started and to ensure the continuity of a dialogue that many participants found valuable.
