[it's a wrap] Disruptive Interpretation: pratiche e strategie per mediare contenuti

The course “Disruptive Interpretation” (January 16–18, 2026) has concluded. The three-day program was dedicated to museum interpretation, aiming to provide a solid and deeply interdisciplinary methodological framework based on international perspectives and critical, experimental approaches.

During the course, participants explored new tools and design approaches through a mix of lectures and workshops, with contributions from M. Chiara Ciaccheri, James M. Bradburne (former Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Biblioteca Braidense), Antonio Cangelosi (Naturalist), Irene Calderoni (Scuola Piccola Zattere), Stefano Luca (Sound Designer, University of San Marino), Michela Perrotta (Peggy Guggenheim Collection), Vanessa Vaio (Interpret Europe, ViVaio), and Viviana Gravano (Curator and Contemporary Art Historian).

"I feel I have updated my approach to cultural mediation and encountered concepts that resonated with my thinking, yet were articulated and systematized in many of the presentations."

It was a pleasure to meet all the participants during the three days of the course, held at the partner venues that welcomed us into their spaces: the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Scuola Piccola Zattere, and our own We Exhibit headquarters.

"I returned home with a renewed curiosity to read scholarly texts on interpretation—something that hadn’t happened in about ten years."
